Homestay accommodation
Irish host families are famous for their warm welcome. For many years, students have been coming to Ireland every summer to improve their English. Staying with a host family is the best way to practise your English in a relaxed setting as well as learning more about Irish life. Homestay option is available in Ennis and Kinvara.
Our homestay team select and monitor all families carefully. Every home has been visited by our host family co-ordinator, Emma Chadwick Pyne. All host families have been checked by the police. We ask for regular feedback from students and families alike to ensure that all parties are happy with the placement.
Most adult students who come to our school take a single room with half board with breakfast and an evening meal. Teenagers usually share a twin room with full board of breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal.
We offer homestay with our programmes in Ennis and in Kinvara.
Accommodation options for Adults
We offer three distinct homestay options for adult students.
- Half board accommodation. Single room with study facilities, breakfast and dinner included.
- Half board with private bathroom. Single room with study facilities and private bathroom, breakfast and dinner included.
- Self-catering. Single room with study facilities. Students must buy their own food and cook for themselves.
We recommend host family accommodation as it gives students the chance to immerse themselves fully in the English language. Host families are carefully selected by the school. They welcome our students into their homes to share their meals and their daily lives. We ask our students to respect their hosts and enjoy the differences that exist between cultures.
Placement Fees
- We charge a host family placement fee of €60 for this booking service.
- For couples and families we charge €80 as the placement fee.

Alternative Accommodation in Ennis
